On the surface, most modern charging cables look nearly identical to one another. Especially in today's USB-C age, you'd be forgiven for thinking two seemingly run-of-the-mill, average cables were essentially one and the same. The fact of the matter, however, is that Type-C cables can differ quite dramatically from one another, and that some cables are poised to stand the test of time, while others are decidedly not.
