My TV's Ethernet boost wasn't what I thought it would be

For years, people have debated Ethernet versus Wi-Fi. There are clear pros and cons to each side, and most people would argue that Ethernet provides stability while Wi-Fi offers a bit more versatility. What I mean by that is Wi-Fi is completely cable free, while Ethernet means you have to be tethered somewhere. That's not a big deal for stationary devices like desktop PCs, and that's why the computer I do most of my work on is plugged in via an Ethernet cable.
