The iPad has long sat in a strange middleground between entertainment and productivity. Certainly, both things are possible on the tablet -- but it's not always the best device for movies, books, or games, and for many people, there are limitations that continue to prevent it from replacing a work laptop. To make one aspect or the other satisfying, you have to operate within Apple's (occasionally arbitrary) boundaries.
