One of the more harrowing driving experiences I had was with a former friend who, for some reason, thought it was perfectly safe to type out a text message while driving us down Texas roads. I might not have been so concerned except that she didn't even have asmartphone -- she had to use the old T9 texting system. If you're too young to remember it, simply tapping out "hello" might've taken 10 seconds that way. You can't afford to take your eyes off the road for that long, unless perhaps your car is self-driving.
