Having an Apple TV 4K is great, and it's one of the best ways to utilize an HDMI slot on your TV. Aside from that, it's much faster than your smart TV's interface could ever be. My first-generation Apple TV 4K is still going strong, and while it has more hiccups than it did in the past, I still plan on using it until it's no longer functional.
